“What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the Sunset.” ― Crowfoot a leader of the Blackfoot nation
Narrative:
Through this project, I learned about the Blackfoot Indians. I have found many interesting things in this project and learned about a native American tribe, which I may have never studied if it wasn't for this project. The stories, poems, and research have tought me just how strong willed, determined, and prideful the Blackfeet people are. Reading their stories has taught me that they are a people based on family tradition and legends passed down through the generations. They are stongly connected to the plant and animal kingdom, which connects them to the earth. Their strong sense of spirit can be felt within the words of the stories they write. I found that many of their stories have to do with animals and they seem to connect themselves to animals. There are many things I learned in this project and I enjoyed learning about these Native Americans.
